Jaar

Jaar is a new Nepali movie directed by Phurba Tshering Lama starring Geetanjali Thapa, Saugat Malla and Anoop Bikram Shahi. In Nepalese society, 'Jaar' refers to a man involved in an extramarital relationship with another man's wife. During the reign of Jung Bahadur Rana, the aggrieved husband had the legal right to execute the 'Jaar'. In Jaar, Rudraman's return unsettles Thuli's once stable life, forcing him to choose between ignominy and a perilous defense at a village council. Cast out by society, Rudraman and Thuli embark on a dangerous journey, severed from the security of family and tradition.
